JTA Calendar

Here's a question to consider for the upcoming JTA season:

Would you guys rather set a calendar early in the year and stick to it for the entire summer, or would you like to try setting tournament dates about a month in advance?

Some people know of dates they definitely cannot play already, so we can plan around those. However, vacations, weddings, and other events tend to pop up after the calendar has been set. It's a tough decision to make and everyone is welcome to give their input.

maybe a combination of both. email now what dates don't work. and then set each tournament the month before.

Ryan, wasn't it also proposed that we choose a certain number of courses and lock them in as tournament courses. Then we can have some sort of rotation?

If we do adopt the geography rules, I think we should be able to go as far north as Corunna.

There is also a major rumor of a tournament vacation site in the very near future.

I agree. My vote is to choose a set number of courses within a specific geographic area, (i.e., South of Corunna, East of Lansing, West of Troy, North of Jackson), and play those every year. There should be plenty to choose from and that way we will never have to play Deer Run again.

what is the deal with the tournament up north? Where's it at? How much? When? (Isaac?)
